In tough times, we toughen up.

After dealing with the pandemic restrictions for many months, Puerto Rico saw a bit of loosening in early January. The new governor shortened the nightly curfew, lifted the Sunday lockdown and the weekend “dry” law, and reopened beaches, pools, and other outdoor attractions.

However, restaurants, bars, gyms, and movie theaters still must operate with capacity limits until February 7 at least.  And restrictions on air travelers remain.

The San Sebastian street festival, a favorite outdoor event, will be virtual January 29-31—a major blow to our festive people.

But we’re a resilient people, too. With hand washing, masks, social distancing, and vaccinations, we WILL get through this. As they say, when times are tough, the tough get tougher.

As noted in our last blog, Eagle Logistics Systems is working hard to help us all persevere. Businesses in all industries, from construction to retailing, still need supplies—and we’re always there for them.

During the Christmas season, when real trees were scarce, we brought in many containers of artificial trees. We’re helping supermarkets get around major shortages of all types of items, from mustard to toilet paper. We’re helping restaurants meet surging demand for takeout supplies, such as containers, utensils, cups, and condiments.

So let’s keep moving forward.  Maybe we can all celebrate again in person soon!
