How Eagle is expanding during the pandemic

When Puerto Rico was on lock-down this summer, we couldn’t see many of our customers or prospective customers. But the pandemic has made us stronger. We have intensified our efforts to not only stay in touch, but also to expand Eagle’s strength in LTL and consolidation for full loads of both reefer and dry.

We asked ourselves, “What can we do even better?”

One major step we took was to increase our volume of partial loads. A customer can now purchase smaller amounts of goods, and later accumulating other orders for consolidation at Eagle’s Jacksonville warehouse. This service enables businesses suffering from lost revenue to bring in smaller amounts of goods so they can still meet the lower levels of demand. Customers loved that Eagle is helping them survive through a global crisis.

In addition to handling reefer LTL and consolidated shipments, we are continually working to diversify our client base. During the pandemic, we’ve arranged shipments of everything from building materials and generators to motorcycles, nursery plants, and solar panels.

Meanwhile, for customers that can meet with us, we always wear masks, practice social distancing, and go to extra lengths to assure safe meetings at our offices or yours. Throughout 2020 Eagle’s commitment has been to our customers and that continues every day.
