International Ocean Freight, Inland Freight, or U.S. Ocean Freight: Why Us
Read up on the latest news and happenings in the world of Eagle Logistics Systems to solidify why choosing us for your international ocean freight, inland freight or U.S. ocean freight is the best choice for shipping to or from Puerto Rico.

In tough times, we toughen up.
After dealing with the pandemic restrictions for many months, Puerto Rico saw a bit of loosening in early January. The new governor shortened the nightly curfew, lifted the Sunday lockdown and the weekend “dry” law, and reopened beaches, pools, and other outdoor attractions.

Looking back on a wild year
Like everyone, we’re eager to see 2020 in the rear-view mirror. It’s been a crazy year of disruptions—with plant closings, reshuffled pickups, carrier bankruptcies, driver shortages, and more. Then, with the holiday retail season approaching, the U.S. economy surged, business inventories hit all-time lows, and importers faced unprecedented bottlenecks.

How Eagle is expanding during the pandemic
When Puerto Rico was on lock-down this summer, we couldn’t see many of our customers or prospective customers. But the pandemic has made us stronger. We have intensified our efforts to not only stay in touch but also to expand Eagle’s strength in LTL and consolidation for full loads of both reefer and dry.

What we’re doing for communities in Puerto Rico
Because transporting food is a major focus for all AJC Group companies, food is a key part of AJC Cares outreach programs, too. Every year, with help from our vendors, we supply over 80,000 pounds of proteins to feed 6,000 in 143 shelters. And the AJC Group has joined with global companies like PepsiCo, Tyson and Starbucks to support Feed the Children’s worldwide activities.

JAXPORT highlights the role of our Jacksonville warehouse
“Customers like our array of services, and our experience,” Swartz said in his JAXPORT interview. “They trust us. If you are handling perishable items that is critical.”

COVID-19 can’t be an excuse for reducing service
Like many businesses, we have taken many steps to minimize employees’ risk of exposure to COVID-19. And we haven’t missed a beat in our performance—everyone continues to deliver the same high level of service you’ve always expected from us. In fact, the pandemic is driving us to get even better.

No crisis too big. No load too small.
Supply chain managers across the globe are building reactive strategies to manage the “new normal”. To help our customers work through lesser order volumes with the same level of urgency, Eagle is now offering the flexibility of less-than-container load orders for inbound freight.
